About Amanda Sheil

Amanda Sheil

I don't remember the first time I picked up a paintbrush and I can't recall the first time I referred to myself as an artist. Calling myself an artist has been a part of me for as long as I've been alive. For me, being an artist is just plain being. I've been asked numerous times how I would classify my style. Other than saying 'abstract' I can't narrow it down, and I don't want to. My art is ever-changing and evolving, different today than it was last week. I have my own style, and I like it that way. I don't like to play by any rules. My inspiration comes from people around me, events happening in the world and in my life at the time. I don't create from what I see, I create from what I FEEL. My goal is to get the viewer involved...
